Rollerskate Wheels

Bigger wheels retain their speed better than small, but smaller wheels are better for acceleration. Bigger can absorb more shock from uneven surfaces, while smaller will be better for control and manoeuverability. When it comes to hardness (or ‘durometer’) a softer wheel will provide a smoother ride, particularly on rougher outdoor surfaces and will add more grip. A harder wheel will be faster (so long as the surface isn’t too rough) and might benefit some technical manoeuvres used in dance, skatepark or sliding. Wherever there is a ‘pro’ there is a ‘con’! Try and find the happiest medium for the style of skating you’ll be doing. If in doubt, get in touch with us here at the shop :slightly_smiling_face:
