Please note: The Deshi Carbons come up about half a size small, so if in doubt please buy bigger.
Deshi say it will "set a new standard in skate technology" and you know what, we think they might be right! The main difference between these and other aggressive skates is that they use real Carbon Fiber to construct the rigid parts of the boot (the parts that would usually be plastic/polyurethane). Carbon fiber is super stong while simutaniously being REALLY light! The other fundamental difference is that the skate doesn't have a removable liner, you literally put your foot in the shell which is lined with padding. Skate production is clearly being stepped up a notch with the Deshi Carbon skates. The advantage of not having a removable liner is that you can down-size the skate in it's respective size as it no longer has to accomodate the volume of a thick liner. This of course makes the whole skate less bulky and also lighter. Also, the very fact that there will not be a big, bulky liner in the skate will of course mean that the skate will be reduced in weight as a direct result. Check out the soul-kits too. They are the thinest, lowest profile souls we have seen on any skate to date! We've been saying somebody should make something like this for years!. After seeing some of the carbon fibre, light, one-piece boots on the inline hockey market this was always going to be the obvious next progression for aggressive skates. Other parts of the skate are made out of Kevlar and leather to ensure they are very hard wearing. They are reported to weigh 935g for a size uk8 with souls. By our calculations this is 13% lighter than the Roces M12, the next lightest aggressive skate on the market. The quality, research and materials used in the production of this skate are second to none. Someone has finally come through and made a product for those people who want to be equipped to be at the very highest level in our sport!
