New skates coming out

You know what it's like. You wait ages for a bus and then two come at once! Well the Powerslide Conference have just released the new USD Venom '09 skate (speaking of buses!) and also the new Deshi CH1 White (and gold!) will come out this week, which I think you'll agree, looks just great. The next couple of months will see a load of new releases, as always, in time for Xmas. The Razors Icon 2, the

d addition Valo Alex Broskow and Arlo skates and also more new USD skates with the Richie Eisler Classic Throne, the Allstar '09 Classic Throne and the USD Evo '09 in a 'love it or hate it' move and grey colourway. I don't think we are allowed to print these pics yet but we'll be sure to stick them up as soon as we get the all clear. Keep an eye on the site for all the new shizzle as soon as it comes

Loco wins Shop Of The Year

This week we took 'Shop of the Year' for the third year running at the UK Rolling Awards (UKRA). The awards are voted for by those who are involved heavily in the aggressive skate industry. We're proud to have won

he award again and feel that the sentiment reflects all the hard work we've done in the last year. Thanks to all of our loyal customers in the UK and across the world, of course without you guys we could not

New Loco Site Drops!

Ab-rah Kerdabrah! Like a rabbit out a hat the new LocoSkates website appears, as if we haven't been stressing over it for the last year ...right before your eyes! Yep, it's been a headache but we got there in the end. Now, not only can we bring you the best service as usual, but we can do it with an unmatched interface! There's a few changes, all for the better. Firstly there is now a small delivery charge for items under £75...don't fret though! You'll find that generally these smaller items are now cheaper as our previous price had to take into account the cost of delivery. We still have the lowest prices in the UK and if you see it cheaper we will beat it. We now do a free size swap if you order an item that is the wrong size, meaning you won't have to pay for re-delivery. You now will set-up a personal account the first time you buy from the online shop. This takes about 45 seconds and means you don't have to keep re-entering your personal details every time you return to buy something which must have been getting pretty annoying for our regular customers! is now more products in the shop including a huge range of recreational skates and non-rollerblading related items such as Waveboards and Heely's so you can now buy your little brother his Xmas present from Loco! We now have a drop down box with a choice of free gifts with skates rather than being allocated a free DVD. Your whole shopping experience should now be a whole lot more pleasurable. We are hoping there is no significant teething problems but if you spot something out of place or are having any trouble then call us or email us at loco_skates@hotmail.com and you will get a prompt personal reply. 1st Oct '08 16:44

New REMZ Skate

The new Remedy Skates have landed! This week saw the release of the Remz 08 Three; the original style Remedy (as opposed to the Open Shell style). The skate is available in the online shop from now. I think you'll agree it's looking pretty FRESHHHH with it's light grey and

colourway. It comes with Featherlite 2's frames this time (ignore the FL1's in the pic!) and all the other standard features you've come to expect from Remz skates. Here's a picture. We'll upload a promotional video as soon as Remedy release one. 1st October '08

How to set up Remz skates

Genuinely, I've often found myself wondering how Chris Haffey sets up his Remz skates. I mean, he IS the best skater in the world to be skating Remedy skates and there IS quite alot of ways to customise them, whether it be taking out the cuff, or losing the velcro strap or cutting a v-cut in the back! Surely if anyone knows the best way to do it it's Haffey! Well check out this video just released by Remz on how Chris himself thinks you should set up the newmedy 08 Three skates.

Scot on!

If you're browsing the net trying to find intresting Rollerblading articles (which, let's face it, is probably why you are reading this now) then cyber yourself over to Scottishrolling.com! This super fresh looking website documents anything 'rollerblading' in Scotland and is the brainchild of roots Scottish rollers James Keyte and Chris Doughty. It's absolutely packed with sick footage as you

d only expect from our hammer-throwing friends across the boarder. The scene in Scotland is so strong and so sick that it's well worth keeping an eye on this site for the weekly edits and constant stream of new footage. Also, if you don't live too far away check out Scottish Rolling's Monthly Session. The next one is likely to take place around the 25th October. Keep an eye on the website for confirmation of the date and where in Scotland it will take
